Welcome - I’m glad you’re here.
I’m a Registered Psychologist with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University (2019). Post graduation, I spent about 3 years in a remote community in the Northwest Territories, working as a mental health and addictions counsellor. That experience deeply shaped my approach and allowed me to support individuals and families from a wide range of backgrounds, each with their own unique stories and challenges.
Living up North taught me a lot, about resilience, the importance of community, and even how humbling fishing can be. It also gave me a deep appreciation for Edmonton winters and the everyday moments that often hold the most meaning.
Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but I believe it’s one of the bravest steps you can take for your well-being. My role is to walk alongside you, taking the time to understand your world through your eyes. You are the expert in your own life, and I strive to create a space where your experiences, values, and strengths are seen, heard, and honoured.
I use a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach, which means we tailor our work together to meet your individual needs, building on what’s already within you. My therapeutic toolbox includes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Play Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Attachment-focused approaches.
My special focus is on supporting individuals who’ve experienced trauma, especially children. I’m trained in Play Therapy and as an EMDR Child Specialist. I welcome children aged 2, as well as individual adults navigating life’s complexities.
A little about me:
-I’ll drink iced coffee in any season.
-I’m a beginner photographer with a love for capturing the Northern Lights.
-My guilty pleasure is reality TV
If you’re considering therapy for yourself or your child, I’d be honoured to connect and explore how I can support you on your journey.
